Our U19's are a critical and integral part of the sustained success of the St Paul's McKinnon Football Club and we pride ourselves on the number and quality of current Senior players who have come from our local junior clubs incluidng St Paul's and St Peter's among others.
We are on the hunt for talented and passionate local footballers who are keen to play their senior football with the SFNL's most successful team.
We can accept players aged 16-19 and may be able to accept ther players aged 6months and over 19 under the SFNL's Over Age Policy (subject to SFNL approval).
This program will include dedicated coaches, access to specialist sports trainers, fitness coaching and physiotherapy. Jack has been both a St Paul's Junior and Senior player and has Assistant Coached the U18 team at St Paul's Juniors through 2024, including to the Grand Final game.
We look foward to welcoming Jack into the
Senior Club as an Assistant Coach of the U19s.
St Paul's McKinnon are committed to developing talent and ensuring that our young players can progress to play at the highest possible level.
With two Divisions for the U19 program within the SFNL we expect to be able to foster both talent development for players that wish to progress through to our senior team while still providing participation opportunities for players that want to continue to play local footy with their mates and stay fit.
For those players interested in development pathways, we encourage and facilitate engagement with Vic Metro, we support players participation in VFL team opportunities and we put forward our young players for all of the onfield and off-field development opportunities we can identify. This includes the SFNL and St Kilda Development Academy.
We also currently have two Victorian team AFL recruitment and talent identification people engaged in our club.
Why?
We know that this investment in a young person's playing career will be rewarded with long term loyalty.
